Fernando Barreto is from Araxá, MG.
Plastic Artist began studies at the School of Fine Arts of UFRJ, specializing in technique of conservation and restoration of works of art in Belgium. He taught art at UFRJ; University of Brasilia; UFPb and UFF. Simultaneously it maintained a restoration laboratory attending to museums, IPHAN and collectors.
From 1981 he dedicates his time only painting, in atelier in Rio de Janeiro until 1991 and then in Brasília where he lives.
It has a preference for the representation of thematic series in painting, alternating between the gestural and emblematic research of the human figure, the poetic imagery of the urban or rural landscape, and sometimes the conceptual concrete explored in the technique of oil, dry tempera and wood.
He exhibited individually in some cities and participated in many collectives.
In Brasilia held exhibitions in:
Cavalier Gallery in 1991
Museum of Brasília in 2003 and
ANATEL Cultural Space in 2003.
